Consew 206RB-5 Not Turning On

Recommended Posts

My Consew 206RB-5 has decided it doesn't want to turn on! I was working on the machine a few days ago and no problems. I checked the outlets and circuit breakers (all working), turned it on/off, let it rest for a bit and restarted the process. Nothing. There's no smell coming off the servo motor and the pedal depresses just fine. Any ideas??

Thanks, Chris! How do I get to the fuses? I don't see anything in the manual. Also, would Radio Shack have replacements or do you know of a source?

Servo Motor 'usually' has a Fuse-Cap on backside, it marked 'fuse' and you just un-screw and look/replace if needed .

Main Fuse ( at machine ON / OFF Switch ) , also pull side-cover screw off your main switch cover and remove, and look inside ON/OFF switch , and look to see if all wires are in there connection screws .

Machine Not firing up . it most likely something real simple and easy right up front . also ( UNPLUG ) before digging around in your ON/Off switch .

Is it a new machine or old?

Try the easy things first - make sure there is power to the outlet - plug something into the exact spot the servo plugs into.  Make sure any wires into and out of the control box are plugged in securely.  The manual should list any fuses or reset switches.

unfortunately the quality of many servo setups is so bad that it’s often cheaper to replace the entire servo motor and controller than pay someone to troubleshoot and try to fix it unless it’s under warantee.
