LyndHoll Report post Posted December 9, 2019 I'm finally thinking of having a maker's stamp made. Would love some input before I commit. Making mostly small things, belts, wallets, etc. What size should I be considering to have it readable, but not overpowering? Any other suggestions and guidance would be much appreciated. fredk Report post Posted December 9, 2019 I do believe this subject has been covered many times before However: I use 'Lazy-D' as my make My stamp - In use I had it cut in brass. Its 3 cm across x 1.7 cm high. Its plenty big for most items and small enough for narrow straps and belts Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
JLSleather Report post Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) I had a couple new ones made recently. Guy does great work. One is larger, for holster panels, notebooks, etc. and the other is just under 1" square, fits nicely on belts/straps (and anywhere else room is limited). Skip the standard "line art" stick-man drawings and contact Alex for a stamp that turns every piece into art. Rockoboy Report post Posted December 9, 2019 I have 3 sizes of makers mark, 30mm X 50mm,15mm X 25mm and 10mm X 12mm. wizard of tragacanth Report post Posted December 9, 2019 As a hobbyist, I don't do very many projects, so I went with a "plastic" stamp. Think I paid maybe $35 for it. It is very generic but it works.
