Tool ID

Recommended Posts

I recently made a purchase on E-bay for the items in the picture. I am not sure what the small tools on the bottom row of the picture are used for.

the two on the ends look they are a male and female snap or rivet set  but i am unsure about that and the other small tools.

any help is greatly appreciated.

From the left side, it appears to me you have:

- a rivet or snap setter

- pointed stylus small

- pointed stylus large

- snap setter

- snap setter

- unknown (Maybe a letter stamp?)

- lacing chisel

- snap or eyelet setter

Disclaimer: Any or all could be wrong because I cannot see a lot of detail.

Rockoboy, I think your right, I have a couple similar, but they to are missing the handle used to hold then to be struck, so I have never used them.

I got them from a seller in the States with some counter sunk rivets.

I also do not have the handle

The handle could be as easy as a piece of rod with a hole in the end. Done on a lathe if you have one available, or rod held in a drill vice if you don't. If there's more than one size, make a few. Job done.

I was playing with a piece of rod about 6 inches long and I welded a nut that fitted over the rod, but it was to heavy.

Lost interest after that as I have not needed to use them.

Bert.
