Joeh Report post Posted February 1, 2020 I am new to this and have questions about thread for a double needle machine. I have read and have been told that you need both a Z twist and S twist yarn for these machines. I'm also told that a monochord thread would work. My question is is there any option for using z twist thread on both needles. I cannot find any S twist thread in colors I need nor can I find monochord in needed colors. I want to sew leather upholstery and have been told that a bonded nylon #92 thread is what I need. I have two pieces of leather furniture that I believe were stitched with a double needle machine. However, both threads appear to be done with z twist thread. I feel sure they were done with a double needle machine because they look too perfect. Am I missing something?
