Teaching the daughter how to sew

Teaching my 12 year old daughter how to sew. Simple projects at first but she already wants to make a satchel. 
these are just little pouches about four and five inches wide. Made from 4-5 oz oil tanned. I did the concho and bleed knot but showed her how it was done.
