Glue Bandana To Interior Of Wallet

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I make wallets (all hand cut and stitched) using Horween 3.5 oz leather and would like to line the pocket where you store your dollar bills with a bandana.  I was wondering if anyone here has done that and if so what kind / brand of glue did you use?  Also, do I need to burnish the flesh side of the leather before gluing the bandana in place?

I have attached a picture as a reference.

Thanks in advance!

Tom

Get some 3M spray adhesive - easy to apply and works well.

Which Horween leather?  It looks like Dublin to me.  Chromexcel is not considered cementable.

I would use diluted Leathercraft Cement, which is PVA-type glue, because it is water soluble, dries clear, doesn't stink, and is easy to clean up.
