Recommended Posts

how do I stop a motorcycle toolbag from flattening when riding? Line it with plastic? I want it to retain its shape

I would suggest trying some thick veg attached to the back of your gussets should help. Other then that you may want to glue in some extra lining as well and keep the mph under 150 ;)

Cut some thick wood to the shape of the ends. Make them a very tight fit. Fit them in and keep them there with glue to the ends and small upholstery nails to the main body

fill the bag with more tool / equipment :blahblahblah:  I love the Hypercharger reminds me of the motorcycle I once owned. The leather it too soft so yeah I would add something to reinforce the side walls. Leather, wood or plastic - what ever makes it more rigid

I'd suggest some thick (or very stiff) leather as a liner, or some of the plastic bag stiffener some handbag makers use.

I'm also curious whether you'll get fender dings when the shocks compress. I had to move my tool roll to the handlebar when I took the 4" over shocks off my panhead - sadly, after I saw the dent on my front fender.
