Inspired by Stewart: Christmas Joy!

Recommended Posts

As I said, this was inspired by @Stewart, so thanks much for that!  These have been a hit this year, folks love them it seems, so i made a bunch.  Course, now I could be stuck with a bunch, but hey, I'm alright with that!  It also gave me a chance to get comfortable with painting on leather, which I really needed to do.  Sorry about the fuzzy photos, enjoy!

Meaningful Christmas tree ornaments are some of those things that have very long lifespans. I bet that the folks who receive one of them will still be hanging it on their tree with pride in 20-years. I still use one every year that I made in Sunday School when I was 4 and I'm 55 now.

@maxdaddy, I suspect so!  Tried to make them fun and whimsical for any age...

@fredk, appreciate it!

@hashtagartz, yeah, enough grinches running around trying to spoil cheer and joy and anything else they can this year.  Maybe I'll add one next year, but he'll not be happy with my treatment, lol!

After seeing @Stewartpost and then @YinTx I noticed some Christmas gnomes in my shop.  They were a fun but demanding group who asked for lacing and coloring.

Your posts guys sure got me thinking and I sat down and enjoyed making these 3 up which will be gifted shortly to spread some cheer.  Best part to me was I didnt try to be a perfectionist with them and just had some fun.  Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and may  we all have a great New Year.

@Rossr that is the exact concept I was going for!  Whimsical, not perfectionism, fun and no seriousness allowed!  Yours turned out great!

I like the backgrounding you did on the one, really gives him an aura of magic!

Sorry late to the topic.
I bought a bunch of coasters thinking I would have to make into fun gifts for some people but with just placing their initials on it.  But then I got the covid and didn't feel like doing anything much.  But now that I've seen the ornaments with the old school designs and the gnomes, it gives me some better ideas.   Thanks!

They made me smile, especially the one on the left (tall hat with stars).  Thank you so much for sharing them.
