Members mariuspirvu Posted February 13, 2021 Members Report Posted February 13, 2021 As part of our commitment to making things easier for our community, we made a bag where the knots needn't be tooled but cut and stitched instead. I once made a wallet full of Celtic motifs and it took me two days just to tool the cover whereas the same time was required for this bag to be constructed bottom up. Well perhaps the result is not as good as could have were it tooled but I think it's satisfying nonetheless. The process of making it was captured here and the pattern can be found along with many other project on our website. Thanks for the time! Quote
Members Retswerb Posted February 13, 2021 Members Report Posted February 13, 2021 Good lord that’s a lot of stitching. Looks great though, and plenty of variety possible with thread colors. Quote
Members maxdaddy Posted February 13, 2021 Members Report Posted February 13, 2021 That's beautiful. Quote
Members DJole Posted February 13, 2021 Members Report Posted February 13, 2021 Instead of two days of tooling, it's two days of stitching! heh! Unless, of course, you have a machine... But still, it's a nice design element on a very lovely bag. Quote
MikeRock Posted February 13, 2021 Report Posted February 13, 2021 Any way to filigree that? Cut out and insert a background material of some contrasting color/texture. Lots less sewing. That sure is pretty though!! God bless Quote
