Hildebrand Report post Posted February 25, 2021 @Frodo it could be the compass but I think it is more likely that as you were going around one of the pieces you were not able to keep the compass perfectly perpendicular to the edge. As you travel along the leather if one leg gets ahead of the other it changes the actual distance between them, this is particularly tough on corners.
