Suede lined face mask - yea or nay? will it color my face?

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks!  - need your advice. I bought some black thin suede to line some biker masks I'm making. Should I be concerned with bleed through on the face when using the mask on a hot summer day? I'm concerned that if I glue and stitch in a liner, I'll eventually have to rip it out, because my face keeps getting dyed black from the suede!  or, is there a spray finisher that will prevent the bleed through?  many thanks for your help!

Insufficient data, does not compute...ie what's the material, what's the dye? Suede's a cut, a layer, not a material. Black's notorious for transferring, possibly test a scrap sandwiched between some gash white cloth under a steam iron.

Does the liner have to be black? Make it from a lighter color, keep it hidden on the inside, and don’t worry about color transfer.

I'd be thoughtful about cartel products.
