copper 1/2 round punch

Recommended Posts

Some punches are rather pricey,  If you are on a budget but need a 1 1/2 round punch for your belts

a 1 1/4'''  copper fitting will work. it is 1/32 to small,  sandpaper will fix that

Heck yeah! Here's some of my improvised end punches. The larger one, on top in this picture, is 1.5".

For the price of one CS Osborne 1/2" punch (which is definitely a better tool, but...) you can buy a set of 19-50 leather punches in shapes, available on Amazon and other places. These are sharpend and made of ribbon tool.  They are way better than freehand. One such set looks like this:

50 pc leather punch tools in shapes for $20

For someone just curious about leatherwork or on a very tight budget, that set of tools would certainly be worth the $20 price tag.
