Oh man...that is great Mike. I have no idea how you did it but it is incredible. The detail on the lettering has me baffled. I can see how you may have done Mikey but the detail in the lettering has me lost.

That's absolutely incredible! As a LEO for the last 24 years that piece is something I would proudly display! The detail is amazing. I'd be lucky to get that level of crispness with a relief stamp!

I thought it was done with a stamp.  Did you carve the design @immiketoo?

This was done with a stamp, not hand carved but I did crisp it up with a spoon

Very fine work.  Very tedious to crisp, I am sure.

Thanks everyone!  It was my first time using a stamp and I have to say it was quite fiddly.

I don’t have a shop press yet so it was quite a challenge. I actually bent the handle on my vice from hitting it with a hammer.

Ahhhh, that explains it. I was wondering how you got all the detail into the letters. Still, quite nice and sorry about the vice...and the rhyming.

There comes a time when I have to weigh my time vs the amount I can charge for an item.  Also, repeatability comes into play, and for this job a stamp was the perfect solution.
