Members TomG Posted September 25, 2021 Members Report Posted September 25, 2021 Not a leather question, but a shoe question. My grandson has a like new pair of canvas shoes that are coming loose at the sole edges. The edgers are a rubberish material and the soles look almost like gum rubber. What would be the best glue to reattach the two?? Thanks. Quote
Members Dwight Posted September 25, 2021 Members Report Posted September 25, 2021 My old standby for everything pretty much is Weldwood Contact Cement. I fixed the sole coming off my sneakers with it. May God bless, Dwight Quote
Members TomG Posted September 26, 2021 Author Members Report Posted September 26, 2021 That was my first thought but not sure if I need to do some prep the the materials or not. I've never used it on rubbery stuff. Quote
Members Aven Posted September 26, 2021 Members Report Posted September 26, 2021 With issues like this, I have had success using Shoe Goo. It was developed for minor shoe repairs like those. https://gluereview.com/shoe-goo-adhesive-review-and-guide/ Quote
