A Little Something For My 1911

Recommended Posts

My 1911 sat patiently all last week while I made holsters for a couple other people. So I made it a new one as a reward.

7/8oz veg tan, lined with 20z veg tan goat.IMG_20210926_103705.thumb.jpg.19606b1635a0726dc8a888584c2761ce.jpg

That looks about as good of a fit as I've ever seen on a holster @tsunkasapa and the stitching and stamping look about perfect.

Nothing sexier than a 1911.  Even more sexy with that low cut dress.  Wowser!  I did notice the "extra" stitches below the trigger guard.  Was that intentional?  I have not seen that before.  What is the purpose?  Just added strength?

Yes, I don't remember what book I got that from, but I do that on most all of my holsters. That is a high stress point.

Nice holster.  Is that one of the CMP 1911's you built the holster for?

Thanks. No, it is a Springfield Armory Range Officer.

Very nice. I own a few  SA firearms.  Might have to steal that double stitch thing. I usually double all the way around,  but that is cool.
