Digital pattern making

What is everyone using to make printable patterns? Programs or apps?

Pencil, paper and a ruler and dividers.  Oh, and an eraser.  I prefer a Pink Pearl eraser.

Try Inkscape. It’s a bit laggy but it does the job

+1 for inkscape.  It is free.  Not intuitive, but there are a lot of great YT videos to assist

We use an Adobe Illustrator subscription. We have not really used any other app but we have not found anything that that AI can't do. If we want to create an offset line that is comprised of 1mm holes for a laser cutter it will do it. We use AI for our digital downloads that we sell as well and files can easily be exported in various formats.
