  1. Hey Ken I 'spose we could but all able bodied men in Kennesaw have to work rotating shifts guarding the "General" from another yankee sneak attack!
  2. I'm from Kennesaw also. Just a hobby, always looking for something new to try! Richard
  3. Thanks Thrash! I see it now. You're a pal!!
  4. I plan to make a revolver cartridge box based on the issue item from the Civil War ( I hate that term!). Anyway, while I will probably mould the front of the case into shape and make the item from 2 pieces of leather (front and back), I the originals were made of 3 pieces; front, back and side. My question is, How was the side piece stitched to the front and back? It looks like the two pieces were butted up and the stitch went through each piece at a 45 degree angle. Is this correct?
  5. I'm making my first holster and have dyed it "British Tan" as that is very close to the shade of Russet I want. Although it is a close match to the color of the gunbelt I use, I finding myself wanting a better match, especially since I have decided to line the belt and stamp it with the same border design I used on the holster. So, the simple question: What is the best way to strip the top finish and dye off the belt so I can redye it a slightly lighter shade?
