  1. I need a couple of people to share the cost of a Hermann Oak order from the tannery. There is a minimum order of 5 sides of the same color and also few options that can be added. I am flexible regarding color, gauge, etc. Info here: www.hermannoakleather.com. I have a splitter so it would be my preference to buy a heavier side. It can be ordered unfinished as well. I would be happy to have it delivered here and ship it out.
  2. I posted awhile ago looking for the square felt daubers that are now made of unobtanium. I happened to find a felt cloth for buffing shoes. I cut it into 1x4" strips and glued them onto wooden barbecue skewers. I dipped the stick into the glue pot and then applied a narrow coating of glue on the other end of the felt. I then rolled it and let it set for awhile. I was surprised how much more control I had with the round shape. I am also still using the daubers I made a couple of weeks ago. I just wanted to pass this along.
  3. Hello, This is my first post. I remember that square felt daubers for applying edge dye were available at one time. Does anyone know if they are still made? I have searched for them for some time but can only find round wool. I would much appreciate any help. A good alternative would also be weelcome. I was using foam eyeliner applicators which worked great except the foam tip kept coming off which I guess means they weren't so great.
  4. I am curious to know whether you used dye prep?
