  1. Omgoodness! My brain has been absent apparently!lol!!! It never occurred to me to inside out the felt portion. Okay so some more questions.... So you are saying to sew the vegtan to the wool, and then glue the suede to the back when it is done?
  2. Hi everyone! I got into leather accidentally, when I ruined a bag I was felting with wool. I spent several hours (like 7) felting a bag for a friend. Then as it got late, and I got tired, I kinda lost track of what I was doing and felted it too much one direction. In an effort to salvage the bag, I bought some leather with the idea of sewing a piece around the top to extend it. I cut it, made stitching holes, and just dyed it. I have not burnished the edges yet. The progress keeps getting halted, because I don't know what I am doing, and have had to be creative. After making the leather, I realized I would need a backing to sew on the inside, so I bought some kind of suede. I also bought some contact cement. I have no idea how to assemble this without messing it up. Here is what I have Two big pieces of leather for front and back two small strips to connect my sides and hold the rings for my strap and suede to back it What order should I go about attaching it? Do I sew the sides and top first in a round with the backing, and then attach purse and sew the bottom? I am in way over my head! Thanks for any advise!
