ceramic inserts
True to its aesthetic heritage, the new Submariner and Submariner Date in Oystersteel feature a black dial and rotatable bezel with matching Cerachrom inserts. The Submariner Date in yellow steel with Oystersteel and 18 ct yellow gold features a royal blue dial with a rotatable bezel and a blue Cerachrom insert, and a black dial with a rotatable bezel and a black Cerachrom insert.
The Submariner Date is available in two versions, one in Oystersteel and the other in 18 ct white gold, offering an original colour combination with different tones for the dial and Cerachrom inserts. The first watch featured a black dial and green bezel, while the second had a black dial and blue bezel.
Additionally, there are two 18 ct yellow gold Submariner Date versions featuring a royal blue dial with a blue bezel and a black dial with a black bezel.

ROLESOR, a combination of gold and Oystersteel
The Rolesor is a combination of 18 ct gold and Oystersteel on a Rolex watch and has been an iconic feature of the brand since the name was registered in 1933. It is a union of two metals: one, noble and precious, appealing for its luster and stability; the other, known for its resistance to corrosion, ensures strength and reliability. All these qualities perfectly reflect the elegance and performance of a Rolex watch.
In the yellow Rolesor version of the Submariner Date, the bezel, winding crown and central links of the bracelet are in 18 ct yellow gold, while the outer links of the case and bracelet are in Oystersteel.

Oyster case, a symbol of water resistance
A paragon of robustness and reliability, the Oyster cases of the Submariner and Submariner Date are guaranteed to be water-resistant to 300 meters (1,000 feet). The middle case is made from a single piece of Oystersteel, a particularly corrosion-resistant alloy, or 18 ct white gold. The back of the case is adorned with delicate grooves, which are sealed and screwed using special tools that only Rolex watchmakers have access to the movement. The triple-lock winding crown equipped with the triple waterproof system is securely screwed to the case and protected by an integrated crown guard. The crystal is made of almost scratch-resistant sapphire, and on the Submariner Date, a Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock makes it easy to read the date. The waterproof Oyster case provides optimum protection for the watch movement.

Oyster bracelet and Oysterlock safety clasp
These versions of the Submariner and Submariner Date are equipped with an Oyster bracelet. Developed in the late 1930s, this three-piece chain bracelet is known for its sturdiness.
These new versions of the Oyster bracelet are equipped with the Rolex-designed and patented Oyster folding safety clasp, which prevents accidental opening. It also comes with the Rolex Glidelock extension system, designed and patented by the brand. This particularly inventive mechanism consists of a toothed rack that sits under the clasp cover and a toothed sliding link that locks into the chosen notch. The Rolex Glidelock on the Oyster bracelet has 10 notches of approximately 2 mm, allowing the length of the strap to be easily adjusted, without tools, up to a maximum of 20 mm.
On the 18 ct white gold version of the Submariner Date, the Oyster bracelet includes ceramic inserts within the links to enhance its flexibility and longevity.
Additionally, a hidden accessory system ensures seamless visual continuity between the bracelet and the case. The new version is equipped with an Oyster bracelet with an Oyster folding safety clasp to prevent accidental opening.
Color light display
The dial's Chromalight display is an innovation that improves visibility in dark environments, an essential feature for divers. The Submariner and Submariner Date feature a Chromalight display: the hands and hour markers are coated or filled with a luminous material, giving off a lasting blue glow in dark conditions. On the bezel, the triangular zero mark is also visible in the dark, thanks to a capsule containing the same luminescent material.

Caliber 3230 and 3235 Perpetual Calendar
The new-generation Submariner and Submariner Date models are equipped with calibre 3230 (launched in 2020) and 3235, self-winding mechanical movement, respectively, entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Their architecture, manufacturing and innovative features make them exceptionally precise and reliable. They are equipped with an exclusive blue Parachrom hairspring, which is 10 times more precise than conventional hairsprings in the event of shocks. The power reserve of both movements is extended to approximately 70 hours.

Excellence in Observatory Certification
Like all Rolex watches, the Submariner and Submariner Date are certified by the Superlative Chronometer, redefined by Rolex in 2015. This exclusive designation proves that every watch that leaves the brand's workshop has successfully passed a series of tests carried out by Rolex in its own laboratory according to the following standards. own standards. These certification tests apply to fully assembled watches, which, when installed in the movement, guarantee superior performance on the wrist in terms of precision, power reserve, water resistance and self-winding. The precision of the Rolex Premier Observatory is -2/+2 seconds per day, or more than double the accuracy required by the official chronometer.
Each Rolex watch comes with a green seal and comes with an international five-year warranty, symbolizing the status of a top chronometer.
