I am new to sewing on a machine, I have only been hand sewing for about a year, that being said; I have a PFAFF 1245 the timing is fine but the thread keeps breaking. I have tried #69, #92, and #207 on top and for the bobbin I use the #69 thread. I get started and before long the thread breaks, and in reverse it will break right away. If someone could tell me if I have missed the boat and doing something wrong. I have been using 7-8 oz. leather and have had the same problem with 2-3 oz. leather??? Help and thanks Stu...
