I came across a Artisan 618-1sc LTHR sewing machine for $850 will this machine sew thru 3/8 to 1/4 inch of veg tan leather. And is ths the right machine for this type leather?

I really like mine. I use it for sewing up wallet interiors, so far. You might take a look at this web site: www.artisansew.com. You can find out all the info right there or call their phone number. If the machine is in good order, that's a good price.
