Where Can I Get Needles For A Durkopp Cl 17-1-1

Hello. I am trying to figure out where I can buy needles for a Durkopp CL 17-1-1 sewing machine. I found a post on here from around 2011 with some very good info on that model, and they said that they were still able to get needles and bobbins for it, but not other parts. The rest of the machine is in great working condition. If anyone can shed any light on this for me, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Call Durkopp-Adler in Georgia : 800 241-6298 .Tackman

I have done that. The man I talked with was very nice, but said that they did not have any records on the CL 17-1-1. and did not know what size of needle they needed. Since I have heard that why they do not have records of them is when they were still being made in Germany the factory was bombed in world war two, and all the records destroyed. May I suggest you try a system# 332. It's the same needle system used on the Adler 30-? and the Singer 29-K?. If it does not work, try raising or lowering the needle bar to accommodate that particular needle system and re-time the machine. Universal Sewing in St. Louis may be able to help supply you with the system# 332 needle in the size and point style of your choice..
