So The New Season Is Upon Us, I Think Its Time To Stick Fur To Things...

It's that time of the year again... My thumbs and other digits are all healed from last years needle stabbings and I'm ready to do it all over again... Friday, June 11th and I think I'll make some bracers.

I have made several pair of these particular style of wrist wear in the past but had a recent request from a friend of mine who wanted something that looked "Barbaric". After rooting through my basement for about an hour I came across some old rabbit hides I had bought to line a sword scabbard with. Far be it from me to hold out on a buddy so I got to work.

Two hour of exhausting measurements and hole punchy goodness....

Now to skip to the end. After cutting straps, adding buckles, dying, trimming, lacing, and finding bandages for my fingers this is the final product.

My buddy loved it, and now I have to make another one... He thinks it looks barbaric, I think it looks like he has a woodland creature smashed into his arm...

Neat! Although, I do admit that I agree that it looks like he has a fresh rabbit under his bracer that he's saving for later... XD
