Grand Prize: Custom SK-3 Swivel Knife, valued at $135

Second Place: $75 Cash prize

Third Place: $50 Cash prize

Contest Guidelines

Carve your own original design on a 5-inch x 7-inch piece of leather, any weight.

Use your swivel knife plus, if desired, you may use 3 additional tools to accent your work:

•

a beveler

•

a mule track/crowner

•

a veiner

You may stain your work using 1 color only.

Swivel cut borders or frames are allowed.

Do not sign the front of your work (any signatures or maker’s marks on the front will be disqualified).

Please put your name on the back.

Entry Information

Complete entry section (below) with your full contact information and submit to Leather Wranglers with your carving.

Entry fee: $10 for each entry (with a maximum of 3 entries per person).

Entries close at 12 noon, Friday, March 13 (at which time judging begins).

Judging will be done by popular vote (Please do not advertise your work to attendees).

Judging concludes at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2009.

Winners will be announced just before close of show. In case of a tie, winner will be chosen by the flip of a coin.
