I've been wanting to do this pattern for years. Very nice!

Very nice result Vince. I am about half way through finishing my attempt at this pattern. When I first transferred the design I ended up with a 25" diameter circle. Too much leather so I reduced the size to 12" . Are you going to attach the wrist grips etc that go on the back. I am going to glue mine to timber and add the fittings, then find a spare piece of wall to hang it.

Thanks for your comments, I started that targe in a medieval festival in France, the goal is really to make a targe. The design is on 25'' diameter leather circle.

I plan to glue the project, using some antique bone glue,on a piece of oak. The back side will be cover by antelope skin and the whole will be nailled by wrought iron nails.

Then I'll add the wrist grips...

I'll keep this gallery updated with the progress.
