LOVE that eye detail! is it embossed in or painted?

They are all looking really great. this one kinda has a 'looking down his nose at you' feel about it from the photos :-)

it is hand carved. I carved them after I had molded the masks. It was a bit tricky but it can definitely be done! Some of the scales are a tenth of the size of my pinky nail. <-- those mostly around the lines at the base of the eye opening. Took around 40 min per eye to do. I just cased it with a sponge and let it sit till it was ready. I'll get pictures soon of me wearing each mask to show what they look like on. It helps to show the dimension more.

And thank you! I'm glad you enjoy the details. I'm all about the details. I work hard on the craftsmanship of these masks. I should take pictures of the back to show some of what I'm talking about. Gotta do that too... so much to do so little time!

Ditto on the eye details. They are a very nice touch of realism.
