Members Cyberthrasher Posted March 2, 2012 Report Great job!! I'm starting a book cover for my daughter and it has - you guessed it - butterflies. How did you get the wings of the butterflies so smoothly curved? Well, you can see how tiny it is. So, careful is the key. I went through and did most of the inverted beveling with my small modeler then followed it up with the swivel beveling blade (that's where most of that smooth shine comes from). Did each half of the wing separately and left the dividing line until they were both done so I could really press down and make sure the top wing was lower then the bottom. Then once I'm satisfied with the inside, I go round off the edges with the modeling spoon so it's not so rigid looking.More info then you wanted, but I think the total process there is what really created that look.
