Members bluesman1951 Posted January 19, 2013 Report This reminds me of a old style bag called a carpet bag . Food for thought consider a wood dowel handle and maybe stepping up your game on the sewing on the side . Its fine the way it is . To be xtra fine it needs just a tiny bit of tweaking to max out its potential . Bear in mind this is just my humble opinion ,means nothing at all. I like it congradulations. Quote

Thanks so much for your comment! This was my first ever handbag. I came up with an idea and cut out. At the time I only had 2mm round leather cord, so I used it to sew up the sides etc. I've been considering re-sewing with a different leather that I just got in...this is just the kick in the pants that I needed to accomplish it. I need to look around for the dowel idea, not sure exactly what you mean. I really like the off color natural edged leather as it kind of softens the bold print. All in all it worked out pretty well for a first time project. I'll re-post the edited version as soon as I finish it! Again, I really appreciate the feedback! Quote
