Oriental and Indian (Aho) culture Painting

The Oriental and Indian (Aho) cultures have existed for thousands of years, both cultures are very, closely bound to the spiritual world. Their instinctive beliefs and respect for the natural beauties of the world are a common bond.

This work is an attempt to bring some the beauty of both cultures into one image. The wood carving, the floral arrangement, the use of Leather and the lace work are characteristics of both cultures, but seldom seen combined as they are. here. The initial floral design is hand carved into the leather canvas giving it depth as well as dimension I made the frame from Japanese Maple, Oak. This would be a nice wall decoration etc. http://leatherflair.ecrater.com

This is a tribute to both cultures who still honor, respect and remember, the first days and the good ways. Thinking of the world as home and not a place will revive the meaning of family within us all.

The outer edges of the tree branch frame work measure 9" x 12 ". I used Northern Pine, Japanese Maple and American Oak were used and came from storm damaged trees. The Leather is coated to protect it from moisture and UV rays. The wood work is coated with a soft gloss shield. This was Made In The U.S.A.
