Members prc77ro Posted July 22, 2013 Report They look awsome! I did the same pattern but i didn't line mine and they are dyed differently. the only thing i see is on the buckle end isnt the end supposed to fold foward so it doesnt rub on the boot? I did that on my first pair too. But I really like yours, I love how they look rustic and like they have been around for a while. Quote

Members Tania1989 Posted July 22, 2013 Report The end was definitely done wrong. And I didn't line them. Haha. I didn't know at the time that I wasn't supposed to coat the underside of the leather. Quote
Members prc77ro Posted July 24, 2013 Report So the stitching then is just for effect? And what did you coat the underside with? My first pair, which are in my gallery, I brushed a 50/50 water and acrylic clear on both sides, but to be honest I think a good rubdown with Lexol(I get it from Tractor Supply and it says Equine on the bottle?) is enough. I'm waiting for feed back for the gull wing straps with the teal border but so far they are performing well. I'm also awaiting spots for another pair so I can finish them. I didn't count them on the pattern and only ordered 50 and fell about 30 or so short. I'll get photos posted of all 4 pairs as soon as I finish this last pair. I plan to use them as examples to the stables in my area( I don't know how that will go) I wouldnt mind doing a breast collar and I'm waiting for the ok to do a pair of custom fit shotgun chaps.
