SingerModel99

Year Built: 1957

When I got this machine I couldn't even manually rotate it. Open it up, cleaned it out, used copious amounts of oil and elbow grease to get this guy running like a top.

Have you used the Singer 99 for any projects? I have a Singer 15-91 and I'm wondering about particulars (needle type/size, thread, tension). I'd welcome any observations or comments you have on using Singer machines with leather.
