how far apart and what size are the holes?

I usually leave about 1/2" outside the coun / concho or whatever is attached. Spaced about 5 spi and holes are drilled with a 3/32 bit in a dremel. Holes about 3/8 in from edge. Edges beveled round and dyed before lacing
