Completed leather golf bag

This is a golf bag I made to enter in a local show. It won first prize. I learnt a lot making it and during the build managed to improve on some techniques. Made a few mistakes.

It was sewn using a hand operated patcher, hand sewing and a speedy stitcher.

I really like the look of this bag !!! Must have taken an age just to work out the panels let alone put it together !!! .. I haven't played for a while but I bet it gets a few admiring looks and comments. It has a classic look about it and I like the choice of leather and colour very cool project ..

Thanks Colin,

For the pattern, I bought an old nylon proline golf bag (mid 80s vintage) from a secondhand store at a local waste tip for $3 then completely unpicked it and created cardboard patterns from the pieces. That saved a lot of time trying to match up patterns. Previously though I had drawn one up on AutoCAD but the size was slightly bigger and complex so decided to copy the proline bag so I did not miss the deadline to get it into the show. Have not used it on the course yet but friends that have seen it really like it.
