I really like your story telling approach, and this piece in particular

Thank you! It's a bit unnerving to share and show off my work. No matter how much I think I've improved over the past year, there is a pestering realization that I've got a long way to go. Of course, finding this Leatherworker forum and some of the incredible work posted by other members is both inspiring and humbling. 

I grew up on the same block as Lon Megargee's home, now the Hermosa Inn, in Phoenix. My grandparents and parents were collectors of the great cowboy artists in the Southwest. A lot of that inspiring work, especially Lon's, was commercial in nature, advertisements for Stetson or some other brand or company. That imagery often told a story, or captured a moment or expression that told a thousand words or more.
