  1. Hello all , my "new" (at least to me) 1245 has a very wobbly hook and bobin assembly , so it's probbebly worn out , where is a good place to buy a new one , i see lots on Alixpress , but prefer something decent . but i'm slightly worried that if i buy from someone , it will be the same chinese one with a heftier price tag . so does anyone know a good source for a decent make hook and bobin holder ? Pfaff number inside the bobin holder is 18346 thanks in advance gerben
  2. hello all , at the moment i have a Pfaff 145 6B H2L , i have some trouble to run No 10 (270) thread , it seems this machine can't reliable run this thickness . also the maximum stitch length is something like 4mm and it has double feed . is there a way to make this machine run the No10 (270) thread riliable or do i need to find a different machine ? if i have to look for something else , i would like something that can run No10 (270) reliable , have a stitch length of 6mm , and preferable have tripple feed . what Pfaff models do i have to look for ?
  3. nice topic , at least now i know why my machine doesn't have bottom feed , and it seems it doesn't like thick thread eather . i can get it to run "20" thickness (think that's 135 in other format) but can't get it to run "10" (or 270) , it will shread the upper thread to pieces. (still used a "20"/135 bottom wire). does anybody know if you can adjust the stitch length , as far as i'm aware it should be 4.5mm max , but mine wil only do 4 mm (and that is with the stitch controller arm screwed all the way down without the plastic block in place (still waiting for that to arrive)
  4. ok , i'll wait for the motor to arrive and see how that goes .
  5. does anybody know if you can fit a bigger handwheel on this machine (to slow it down a bit ) and where to get one ? , i also planned to do a servo upgrade.
  6. that is a very informative piece , thanks for that !
  7. i tried reading every thread regarding the 145 , so far no luck in finding what 6B means .
  8. Hello all , i found this forum looking for info to set up my "new" (close to 60 years old) Pfaff 145-6B H2L , i can't seem to find exactly what the letter combination means. i gues it's a H2 machine , for Leather , but what does the 6B mean ? after cleaning and oiling the machine , i used a u-tube video to set her up (from a german man, lot's of information in this) . lot's off fidling but for the moment she seems to run (and sew) very nice . am i correct that it uses the 134 style needle's , it had o longer needle in it , so adjusted it for the shorter needle . and another question , does anybody know the max stich length on this model , at the moment the max seems 5mm . thanks for your time Hurbie
