  1. Holidays got pretty busy, but here are two finished items. Next dip dye I plan on either dip casing, or not casing at all, to see if the dye is a bit more uniform. Overall, it still looks fairly decent with a bit of character. The one I gave to my brother has really patina'd well and that has helped the color too. Used carnauba finish and have had no issues with the dye bleeding onto anything else.
  2. I cased with a spray/mister bottle before the dip and I'm guessing that the application was uneven. which resulted in the darker spots. I'd read that nearfoot should be applied after but you would recommend prior to? Should be getting to stich-up tonight or tomorrow so I'll post when done.
  3. Th Thanks, I've seen some mixed messages on the internet about it. Would carnauba wax act as a good enough seal to prevent any dye bleeding? Since they are wallets, I'm not super concerned about them being waterproofed as exposure should be fairly minimal.
  4. Did my first dip dying of some wallets I'm piecing together. All I've read is that the dye may bleed out with regular use. I'm looking at both resolene and carnauba wax to seal the projects. Any help on how these would work. And would a resolene application prevent the leather from developing a patina? Thanks!
