Hi all!
I’m currently in the process of tooling a floral pattern for a pair of Birkenstock arizonas. The issue I’m running into is how to attach these tooled straps to the sole. I’ve heard that rubber cement (barges) works pretty well along with stitching to the original straps, but I also have heard it’s even better to disassemble and remove the original straps totally and rebuild them with the new straps in place.
I may make a trip to a cobbler that is near me to get there advice as well. I know Birkenstocks are fairly simple, as I tore apart an old pair I had laying around, but I’m by no means a cobbler.
Not sure if that makes sense, but if anyone has any advice, I could sure use it!
