Yeah, that checks out—s-type snaps are super easy to pop open, which makes them great for things like jacket flaps or pockets where you want quick access. Ring-type snaps definitely hold stronger, and the difference in spring material really does affect how hard they are to open—I've noticed the copper ones needing a good pull.
