  1. First let me say i am new to the forum, so Hello everyone, and thank you in advance for all your help and input. I have owned this saddle for the last 15 years or so. I have put about a million miles on it and still ride in it on a regular basis. I am wanting to put it into simi retirement and only use it when i really need to. I know that it looks rough and needs a trip to the saddle shop really really bad, so please forgive it's appearance. I have an appointment with the saddle shop already set up. This is what i know about it and was wondering if anyone could fill in the blanks. Before I put it away I really want to know as much about it as possible. It is special to me in it's own way and I do not wish to ever sell it, but want to know about it. I have always joked that I grew up in this saddle, which is very true, i got it for my 13th birthday. The gentleman I bought it from was my next door neighbor and he told me it was a gift to his wife shortly after they had their first child. i know that their oldest sone (at the time i bought the saddle was in his late 40's), so i am assuming that it was purchased in the mid to late 40's. Other than that I don't know a lot about the saddle. One of the shops I have taken it to said that it was an "early 40's Luann." Can anyone elaborate on that, if that is what the saddle is. There isn't a saddle makers stamp on it, so i have no idea who made it or where, the only thing on it is a stamp that reads 33 50101. I tried to get a good picture of it. Once again thank you in advance for your help.
