    I figured it might be something like that, thank you for your insight! That little extra space wouldn't cause the gun to be too loose after it dries, would it?

    Hey all, I'm hoping to make a holster for my 1851 Navy replica in the next week or so. It has a long front sight, ~1/4". Are there any considerations I need to take in making a holster for this gun, so the sight doesn't get damaged, or caught when I'm drawing the gun? TYIA Aaron
