A friend of mine who is associated with the Bull Mastiff club is looking for someone to design 2 collars (1 for a Male and 1 for a Female) for their Specialty next April but is needing to work with someone now to get the ball rolling for the design aspect. The collars will be about 2.5" - 3" wide by 36" long. Colour will be in Medium Brown with Brass Fixtures. There will also be a Brass O-Ring that will be attached to the front of the collar and not by the buckle for the leash. There will also be some embossed letters of the name of the event to also be placed on the collar. They are also looking for Celtic type conchos in brass only. leather collar must be thick so we were thinking of 2 pieces of 8-10oz leather to be stitched together. They are aware that each collar will be a bit expensive but they are aware of this. If you are interested in taking on this job, please email me. Some pics of your collars and approximate pricing as we would like to hire someone right away to do the job. Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.

Love it but just a tad bit expensive for me at the moment as I'm just a beginner and just learning the ropes here. The leash was my first project but I will see if I can get it cleaner looking by using the 2x4 to smooth it out. What a great forum for learning...Shall I get into making masks too...I think my artsy fartsy side is coming out...LOL

Thanks Everybody...Rawhide and Megabit...would you be able to tell me what tool I would need to bevel the flesh side? That would be greatly appreciated as I would love my leash to have much more finished look to it. Thanks again.

Well, I've learnt so much from this site but have a question that I'm hoping someone would be able to answer. I've started experimenting with making Lanyards and have mastered using 2 colours of 1/8" Kangaroo Leather but how do I go about adding a third colour to a 4 part round braid? Do I have to cut 1 piece in 1/2 and then glue another piece to it? I've used 3 different colours with a 6 part round braid which is very straightforward but not understanding how to add a 3rd colour in a 4 part round braid. What do others recommend? Also any tips on how to make the my first lead look a lot smoother as I've seen some where the leather just blends in together. Thanks for everbody's help here. P.S. Here is a pic of my first leash made.

Hi there. Pretty much new to braiding and only mastered the 4 plait braid. I love the way the beading looks on this piece so can someone direct me on where I would find instructions to create the stopper knot to hold the beads in place? Thanks and definitely learning lots from this forum group.
