  1. I have what appears to be an older saddle more than likely mid 20th century made. The saddle is fully tooled and hand carved rather than stamped. It is not a highback, but does have a duck bill horn. It is double rigged with brass dees. The saddlemaker marked the nearside latigo keeper LAMB, and there is a horse tooled onto the offside latigo keeper. The saddle's leather is heavy and softened from use, and there is some surface cracking in the leather. This old saddle rides like a dream and is much better built than our modern "name brand" saddles. Any clue on who would have made this old thing? Email me for photos Cheers M
