I have 4 of the singer 29 machines. 3 of the 29-4 and 1 of the 29K71 I have not got any of them to work. I may be interested in parts so I can get one running. I have the stands for all of them. Rich

Back from the old computer day, we used a fine point blue sharpie to mark floppy disk. It shows up purple on black and blue on everything else.

Who do you have for venders at the show? Thanks, -
Greetings!!! I spend a lot of time at Tandy Leather Factory in Elgin. I have done the same thing...... Did some leather items from the Lucky 7 Kit 43 years ago and now started to learn leather working all over again as well as what has changed since 1965. I am going to retire in about a year and need to keep busy ) Rich

That is neat. I bought my first kit the "Lucky 7" in 1965. I did all the projects and then put it away because I could not aford to buy any more projects. I was 17. I walk a lot of ditches to pick up pop bottle to get the money. Now 43 years later, I dug out the tools and have started doing leahter work again. I am busy making items for my two grand daughters they are 2 years old. I had kept everything like your grandfather including the little blue credit slips that you got if you over paid. I have one for 13 cents and for 22 cents. I even have the catalogs from then. Enjoy your tools and have many happy hours using them. Rich -
I have not purchased a tooling stone yet. I am using a retaining wall top stone from Menards. I mixed up some 2 part epoxy and coated the top to level and seal the surface. Has worked fine so far. It wad $4.79 for the stone and $1.99 for the 2 part epoxy. I got the block with both sides angled and about 4 inches thick (9 inch at the back and about 16 inches at the front). They have them in the garden center.

The black pound board sold at Tandy is a high durometer die rubber. It is used in dies to reduce shock and as a cusion. Machine shops use it and it can be purchased from machine supply companies. You can also use conveyor belt material. It also comes in different matrials and thickness. Hope this helps.....

Antique stain

I have thinned some of the dye with alcohol. You could try a small sample on a scrap of leather.
