Luke, I called weaver leather early today and talked to their tech guy. My problem and posssible yours was that I did not have enough foot pressure to compensate for the lighter leather I was sewing. That was it. I increased the foot pressure and my stiching problems were eliminated. Thanks for everyones help!

I was not aware that i had to change spacers for different sized needles. Now that I think of it I did go from a size 26 to a 27 and then back to a 26. When I went back to a 26 is when the trouble started. I did remover one of the spacers tonight thinking it might help and it did slightly. However the machine still is not stitching neatly and skips a stitch every now and then. I am fairly new to this machine and have had no trouble until now. I appreciate your help.

My newer adler 205-370 is skipping stitches and making a rapping sound. The shuttle assembly seems to have excessive play and seems to be the source of the rapping noise. What is causing my problems? thanks
