  1. yeap my first it was done about a year ago and since then there has been other stuff, but first sheath. it is a double edge blade so has to have a support running both sides to stop it cutting through the leather and he like a old style of sheath but it was a single sided blade so it was a bit of head scratching .
  2. cheers guys for the comments .... mexican basket or round braide with round holes and a square leather edge ?? if that makes sense
  3. I did this for a friend that collects knifes and the old one had rotten away with the blood and pitted the blade, buffalow skinning knife
  4. Hi there Im in the Uk and am too just starting on seats. I work with shoe repairs and will be using what they call in the trade 'micra' it comes in loads of thickness's and can be easly shaped using a sanding wheel attatched to a drill, or if you have a nice shoes repairer (like me ) they mit let you use there finishing machine you can get a super smooth finish and bonding the layers is real easy with neoprene glue, used for leather soles and rubber soles on shoes . hope this helps and hope to get into a Uk network of leather works great site cheers shaun
  5. thanks for the vote of confidence, it is only the second piece that I did and the casing was wrong. I thought that I would start with somthing that is going to allow me to have free range and get used to the tools since then I have done a couple more bits. Just waiting to get some good dye to move to the next stage The next pic is going to be a saddle bag for the same bike, check it out
