SAA Shoulder Holster 013_1.JPG

Howdy All I just finished up a shoulder holster, it's for a right hander, and has a padded shoulder strap, and one only retaining strap, which adjustable and elastic, the main body of the harness is wider than most and protects the grip of the gun from rubbing next to the body, and also the gun has more of a user friendly cant for an easier draw and replacement, there is no retaining strap, the holster was made for easy draw but also to retain the gun at the same time. Five 357 mag cartridge loops, for just in case, and the color is my home made walnut dye/stain. Thanks for stopping by to take a look tEN wOLVES -

This is a West Texas style variation holster, I put a contoured and flared skirt on it, the stamping was of a simple design to keep in the looks of the period it was popular in, the color is from my home made natural walnut dye/stain, and the leather was aged using a method that I use that works well for me, this holster is made for an 1860 Colt revolver, the leather is Wicket & Crag and russet 8/10 ounce Veg-tan.

KT's Cattle Drive Rig 015.JPG
tEN wOLVES commented on tEN wOLVES's gallery image in Our Leatherwork Galleries
This holster and money belt was made to look worn/used and aged, it depicts an old western cattleman's gun rig, it was dyed in my home made coffee dye, then distressed and aged, the holster is of the California Slim Jim style, and the belt a gun money belt, nothing was done that would hurt/harm the leather, it just has the look of a well worn gun rig, that has been well kept, the copper rivets were also aged. AC, your pancake holster looks good, Outrider helped me out with the ones I made too, it's a good design, and can be made for several different style guns. here's a couple I made. -
