I was given a dark brown, full grain leather duffel bag that stains my clothes where it rubs when I walk. I don't know what process was used to dye or finish the bag, but is there anything that can be done to prevent the color from leaving the bag? I thought I could just rub off the excess dye, but I've turned several rags brown in the process and there appears to be no end in sight using that method. Any other suggestions are appreciated.
