Hello all. I just made my first holster for a small automatic. It turned out real well and I'm happy with my stitching and edge finishing. I was impatient with my dye job. I put two coats on (Feibing's USMC blk), dried it with a hair dryer, then finished it with Tan Kote. Like I said, I was impatient. I have since learned to wait. I am now faced with a nice holster that needs to be refinished. I was going to deglaze the Tan Kote with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, then dye the piece with another 3-4 coats of USMC blk. My question is, is my refinishing technique sound or does anyone have a better way? Thanks for any help.
