    online search
  1. hehe, well leatherwork and internet. After all the trouble I went through to wire my igloo for electricity, I'm going to use it!
  2. Thank you! The whole project is hand stitched. The liners are removeable, and storebought. http://www.sorel.com/replacement-boot-liners/liners,default,sc.html?sz=1&start=7 Muks are great with just a felt liner so long as you keep moving, but with these I can actually stand around without my feet turning into blocks of ice.
  3. Here's a pair of mukluks I made a while ago, they're built around a pair of sorel liners and made of moose hide. The fur uppers are beaver.
  4. Putting in my two cents and greetings and salutations to all. I'm new to the forums, but have dabbled in leatherwork before this. I recently bought a tool set for doing more detailed work with veg tanned leathers, as most of my previous stuff was soft leather and fur for things like mukluks and moccasins, and the occasional pouch and bag. If I dig long enough, I might even be able to unearth some old photos. Some of the things I'm most keen on learning and creating include hats, belts, cuffs, book covers, boxes, sheaths/belt pouches and possibly at some point in the future moving on to tack. My first project with veg tanned leather was a pair of restraint cuffs, which once i find my camera I'll post pictures of in the critique forum. I'm looking forward to speaking with everyone and hope to learn much!
